AGRANA is the world leader in the production of fruit preparations for the dairy industry.

AGRANA was founded in 1965 as SIAS MPA in France.

AGRANA Fruit Mexico S.A. DE C.V. was founded in 1981 as SIASPORT in the city of Zamora, Mexico. It started within the facilities of another company in the same sector as a subsidiary of SIAS MPA (France), later as Atys and currently as AGRANA. Ever since we have witnessed and participated in the growth of the dairy product market.

In 1982, Pernod Ricard takes over the management or SIAS, the worldwide leader in fruit preparations.

In 1990, AGRANA Fruit Mexico opens its own facilities in the city of Jacona, Michoacan, operating as a subsidiary of SIAS MPA under the name of SIASMEX, focusing on quality control policies in the purchasing departments, supporting other subsidiaries in the attention of a select group of clients worldwide.

In 1993 AGRANA Fruit Mexico’s plant is opened in Jacona, and the operations of SIASPORT, S.A. DE C.V. and SIASMEX, S.A. DE C.V. are concentrated at the site.

In 2002, many important changes were carried out in the corporate structure:

May 23:
SIAS MPA Holdings is acquired by the BUTLER CAPITAL PARTNERS group, of French capital.

June 1:
SIAS MPA changes its name to ATYS, S.A.

July 1:
SIASMEX, S.A. DE C.V. and SIASPORT, S.A. DE C.V. merge, retaining the name of SIASPORT, S.A. DE C.V.

July 15:
SIASPORT, S.A. DE C.V. changes its name to ATYS MEXICO, S.A. DE C.V.

In January, 2004, takeover agreements were signed by Atys S.A., in which management will be turned over to AGRANA, a leading Austrian food company.

2006,

AGRANA the Central Europe’s foremost sugar and starch enterprise starts’ being present in fruit and becomes the world’s leader in fruit preparations.  AGRANA operates 51 production facilities located on every continent.

The Mexican subsidiary created in 1981 employs around 658 people and under the AGRANA umbrella, will continue fortifying its position in the present and potential markets providing our customers with superior excellence in service and production, now under the name of AGRANA Fruit Mexico, S.A. de C.V.
